Great first lesson! Took the fear out of reading labels! I may not be an expert…yet, but I won’t be afraid to take time to figure out what I can from labels and bottles. You made the first lesson so fun, I can’t wait for the next one.

    1. Paola says:

Thank you very much you are very kind…… reading the labels is important but don’t worry you don’t have to be an expert, remember that the world of wine is just a nice experience to live and enjoy with friends.. to the next lesson!

  9. Mary Waggoner says:

Paola, such fun! It was delightful to see your face and smile again and learn more about wine from you and Pam. It was clear you guys are having so much fun. And Pam’s past life as a schoolteacher is shining in all of the materials and the way the lessons are presented. Thanks so much for doing this. It makes up a bit for not being able to visit with you this year.

    1. Paola says:

Dear, thank you very much. This class is a wonderful experience for us and a reason to be together with friends who are away… a way to convey my passion about wine in a simple and fun way…we are waiting for you..!! a hug.

  10. Chris K says:

Missing Italy but the pictures and intro video remind me of past trips. I prefer red wines and was surprised that white is the preference for aperitivo. What about a Negroni or Aperol spritz? Looking forward to the next lesson. Grazie mille!

    1. Paola says:

      Ciao Chris,
Aperitivo is absolutely personal and depends on your taste.. so it can also be nice with Aperol Spritz or a Negroni.. .but in this class I wanted to talk only about wine. My advice is to start the evening with a light, fresh wine…not too alcoholic, then maybe continue in dinner with a more structured wine…Thank you very much for your good question! A presto!☺️

  11. Patricia C says:

Thanks Paola…great first class. Question, should the white wine be chilled or room temperature? I am off to buy wine!
    Ciao

    1. Paola says:

Hi, Patricia, thank you very much. I tried to do a simple but informative course and I’m really happy that you are enjoying it… white wine should be served absolutely cold.. for young whites 10-12°C for more structured ones 12-14°C.. generally, remember cold for whites and room temperature for reds. Obviously there are exceptions..A presto!
